Bank Negara Malaysia published an update on its Sasana Symposium 2025, a two-day event focused on advancing structural reforms to strengthen Malaysia’s long-term resilience. The programme includes the launch of a Digital Asset Innovation Hub and a Climate Finance Innovation Lab. Held at Sasana Kijang on 17 and 18 June, the symposium brings together policymakers, industry, academia and civil society across 23 panel sessions, fireside chats and workshops covering digital assets, inflation and cost of living, social safety nets, medical and healthcare costs, and climate finance. The Digital Asset Innovation Hub, launched by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, is intended to provide a controlled environment for applicants to test new ideas and provide input to refine regulatory and security frameworks to support digital asset development and advanced financial technology. The Climate Finance Innovation Lab is launched by the Joint Committee on Climate Change. The event also features Bazar iTEKAD, showcasing 14 microentrepreneurs supported under the iTEKAD social finance programme, and an ASEAN Tunnel exhibition highlighting regional economic and financial milestones, including Bank Negara Malaysia’s work on low-carbon transition, instant payment connectivity, local currency transaction initiatives and financial literacy.
