He identified stronger financial and digital literacy, greater trust in financial services and products tailored to rural populations as key priorities. Santos also reviewed the central bank’s initiatives to widen access, including the Instant and Inclusive Transfer System, broader adoption of digital payments, development of the fintech and financial innovation ecosystem, stronger microfinance institutions and a future central bank digital currency.
