In remarks at the FATF’s Fifth Plenary Meeting hosted in Mexico City, Amador highlighted Mexico’s ongoing active engagement under the Mexican FATF presidency led by Elisa de Anda Madrazo. He endorsed the presidency’s emphasis on inclusion to broaden participation by jurisdictions and relevant actors, and welcomed strengthened standards aimed at calibrated, proportional and risk-based implementation that protects the financial system without hindering development, innovation and financial inclusion; he also said Mexico will continue to support technical dialogue and international cooperation.
