The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA), working with Durham College, announced measures to strengthen security and integrity for the Life Licence Qualification Program (LLQP) exams by moving all candidates to in-person exam sittings. Online LLQP exams will be discontinued effective 1 July 2026 to address misconduct and cheating. Accommodations will continue to be available, including for candidates with distance-related limitations. FSRA noted the approach is consistent with other professions, citing Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario and the Law Society of Ontario, and reiterated that completing the LLQP is a prerequisite for applying to sell life and health or accident and sickness insurance in Ontario. Durham College, the LLQP exam administrator, will provide detailed implementation information on its website.
