The U.S. Department of the Treasury has launched the Trump Accounts app nationwide on major mobile app stores as the main interface for the Trump Accounts program. The launch starts the next operational phase of the program, with account activation for families that have already enrolled children beginning in phases ahead of the official launch on July 4, 2026. Parents and legal guardians who already elected to open an account by filing IRS Form 4547 will receive activation emails between now and July 4, 2026 and can complete setup through the app or TrumpAccounts.gov. From July 4, 2026, accounts will be able to receive contributions from parents, family members, employers, and other eligible contributors, subject to annual limits, and eligible children will begin receiving the USD 1,000 pilot program contribution deposited directly by Treasury. Treasury also said legitimate activation communications will come only by email from no-reply@TrumpAccounts.Treasury.gov, while new account elections remain open for eligible children at any time before the child turns 18.
