The Securities Commission of The Bahamas issued a public notice warning that 12 named entities are not registered or licensed by the Commission and may be conducting, or purporting to conduct, securities trading or brokerage and/or digital asset business in or from within The Bahamas while falsely claiming Commission authorisation. The Commission stated that none of the entities, or their agents or representatives, are registered or licensed and none have applied to be registered or licensed. Any registrable or licensable activity by these firms would be in violation of one or more of the Securities Industry Act 2024, the Investment Funds Act 2019, the Financial and Corporate Service Providers Act 2020 and the Digital Assets and Registered Exchanges Act 2024, and false claims of authorisation may expose the entities and their agents and representatives to criminal prosecution and/or regulatory sanctions. The entities named are Benacea Markets Limited, Bitop Markets Limited, Coinzne Markets Limited, Dairytec Markets Limited, Fidelityera Markets Limited, Goldex Markets Limited, HTR Markets Limited, Jucaide Markets Limited, Kronox Markets Limited, Longbridge Markets Limited, VGFO Markets Limited and Worldex Markets Limited. The notice advises the public to exercise extreme caution and to verify firms against the Commission’s online registrant and licensee listings, including seeking confirmation from the Supervision Department where an entity is not listed; complaints and information can be submitted to the Enforcement Department.
