The Labuan Financial Services Authority renewed its Corruption-Free Pledge (Ikrar Bebas Rasuah, IBR) with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, updating a pledge first signed in 2022 and extending it to newly recruited management and staff. The pledge was led by Director General Affendi Rashdi and attended by close to 150 employees, including staff from subsidiaries, with the ceremony witnessed by the Director of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Labuan Branch. The renewal was paired with an internal Integrity Forum, “Integriti Di Meja”, and sits alongside existing anti-bribery and anti-corruption measures including a Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, policies and guidelines on conflicts of interest, whistleblowing, and gifts and hospitality, as well as a “Speak Up” reporting channel. Labuan Financial Services Authority also set out plans to work towards ISO 37001:2025 Anti-Bribery Management System certification by 2026 under its Organisational Anti-Corruption Plan (OACP 2.0) 2024–2026.
