Lithuania's Ministry of Finance announced that the 11th International Financial Markets Conference will take place in Vilnius on 7 November 2025, bringing together European financial policymakers, supervisors and market leaders to discuss how capital markets can strengthen competitiveness and resilience. Organised by the Ministry alongside Lietuvos bankas and the Lithuanian Banking Association in partnership with the European Stability Mechanism, the programme will cover how European capital markets could contribute more to competitiveness and innovation, steps to make the Baltic region a capital-markets hub, funding models to respond to geopolitical and security challenges, and how to create more opportunities for small European investors. Confirmed participants include European Commissioner for Financial Services and the Savings and Investments Union Maria Luís Albuquerque, the finance ministers of Lithuania and Latvia, Finland’s minister of economic affairs, and Gediminas Šimkus, Chair of the Board of Lietuvos bankas, alongside senior representatives from the International Monetary Fund, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, European Securities and Markets Authority, European Stability Mechanism, Nordic Investment Bank, the Estonian Financial Supervision and Resolution Authority, Nasdaq Baltic and Revolut Securities Europe. The conference will be held at the Radisson Blu Hotel Lietuva, with participation free of charge and English as the working language.
