The Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency announced that, at the first constitutive meeting of the Hanfa Council in its fifth term, Council members re-elected Kristijan Buk as Council president for the next four-year mandate. Alongside Buk, the Council includes Hanfa Board president Ante Žigman, who participates ex officio, and seven other members: Ivana Žepić, Ivana Ravlić Ivanović and Amalija Jurin (appointed by the Government of the Republic of Croatia), plus Davor Tomašković (Insurers Association at the Croatian Chamber of Economy), Maja Bešević Vlajo (UCITS Group and AIFs Group of the Investment and Pension Funds Association at the Croatian Chamber of Economy), Ivan Tadin (Capital Markets Group of the Association of Banks and Other Financial Institutions at the Croatian Chamber of Economy), and Klaudija Karabuva Vidas (Leasing Association at the Croatian Chamber of Economy). The Hanfa Council is an advisory body that has met regularly since 2009 to discuss topics related to the non-bank financial sector and to issue opinions and provide expert and scientific advice aimed at developing and improving supervisory practices. It has nine members in total, comprising the Hanfa Board president, five members elected by representatives of supervised entities’ associations at the Croatian Chamber of Economy, and three members appointed by the Croatian government, with appointments and the Council presidency made for renewable four-year terms.
