The Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission reported that it opened its Sustainability Reporting Capacity Building Series with a session on interoperability between the Global Reporting Initiative standards and International Sustainability Standards Board requirements. The series is intended to prepare companies to implement the Philippine Financial Reporting Standards Sustainability Disclosure Standards adopted under a 2025 SEC memorandum circular. Held in collaboration with the Philippine Sustainability Reporting Committee and the Global Reporting Initiative, the first session addressed how companies already using GRI standards can build on that experience when transitioning to PFRS S1 and S2. It also covered materiality, climate reporting and climate scenario analysis, with practical exercises designed around needs identified through an assessment of companies and disclosure preparers.
