The Anguilla Financial Services Commission has issued for consultation draft amendments to Anguilla’s anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing legislative framework, covering the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Regulations and Code as well as regulations for non-profit organisations, externally and non-regulated service providers, and administrative penalties. The package forms part of an ongoing reform programme intended to maintain compliance with Financial Action Task Force (FATF) requirements. The proposed amendments are designed mainly to align with the FATF Methodology and Recommendations on assessing risk and applying a risk-based approach, non-profit organisations, customer due diligence, reliance on third parties, supervisory powers, and the regulation and supervision of designated non-financial businesses and professions. Responses to the consultation are due by 26 September 2025.
