The Thailand Office of Insurance Commission has published an update on its 2026 programme to strengthen the nationwide motor accident victim protection system by training hospital personnel to submit initial compensation claims under the Motor Vehicle Accident Victim Protection Act through the e-Claim system. The fourth session, covering the Northern region, drew more than 350 participants from public and private healthcare providers across 17 provinces and included an “e-Claim Award” to recognise hospitals with strong e-Claim submission performance. The programme is being delivered with stakeholders including the Accident Victims Compensation Fund, the insurance sector and Klaang Road Accident Victims Protection Co., Ltd., and builds on a shift since 1 January 2025 to route hospital claims for initial compensation via e-Claim to improve speed, accuracy, transparency and standardisation. Earlier sessions were held in Bangkok and surrounding areas on 29 January 2026, in the South on 10 February 2026, and in the Central and Eastern regions on 16 February 2026. A final session for the Northeastern region is scheduled for 3 April 2026, completing coverage across all 77 provinces.
