Andorra's Ministry of Finance has updated the public Register of Auditors of Accounts of the Principality of Andorra (RACA), noting that 11 audit firms and 33 individual professionals are now registered, and reiterated that audits must be carried out exclusively by RACA-registered auditors. The requirement applies to entities obliged to audit annual accounts for financial years starting from 1 January 2025 and also extends to voluntary audits performed by other companies. The 2024 Audit of Accounts Law sets a supervision mechanism intended to ensure the quality of account audits and establishes access requirements and core principles for the profession. It defines entities subject to an annual audit as public-interest entities or those supervised by the Andorran Financial Authority (AFA), as well as foundations and other entities receiving subsidies or aid or providing services to the State. To be registered in RACA, auditors must meet legal requirements including posting a bond or guarantee, taking out professional liability insurance and paying registration fees, and must also join the auditors branch of the Official College of Economists of Andorra.
