The Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission will host the 44th ASEAN Capital Markets Forum Chairs’ Meeting on March 26, bringing together securities regulators from across Southeast Asia. The meeting will provide strategic direction on regional market connectivity, sustainable finance, corporate governance, digital assets and stronger cross-border investor protection against fraud. Under its Regional integration, Inclusivity, Sustainable finance and collaborative Enforcement agenda, the commission plans to advance several regional initiatives. These include an ASEAN network of supervisory and enforcement directors, a code of conduct for external verifiers in sustainable finance, an expanded regional corporate governance assessment and the next phase of the Mitigation co-benefit and Adaptation for Resilience Guide.
