The Bank of Greece published provisional balance of travel services data showing a surplus of EUR 505.2 million in November 2025, up 34.8% year on year, as travel receipts outpaced the increase in travel payments. For January to November 2025, the travel services surplus reached EUR 19,942.1 million, compared with EUR 18,616.3 million in the same period of 2024. In November, travel receipts rose to EUR 726.3 million while travel payments increased to EUR 221.0 million, with higher receipts attributed to a 9.7% rise in inbound traveller flows and a 17.2% increase in average expenditure per trip. Net travel receipts offset 18.1% of the goods deficit and accounted for 74.8% of total net receipts from services in the month. Over January to November, receipts totalled EUR 23,003.0 million and payments EUR 3,060.9 million, with inbound travellers up 4.6% to 36,666.1 thousand and average expenditure per trip up 4.4%; net travel receipts offset 65.9% of the goods deficit and contributed 89.3% to total net receipts from services. The next release covering December 2025 is scheduled for 24 February 2026.
