The Czech National Bank published its March 2026 monetary aggregates and counterparts data, showing broad money M3 at CZK 7,442,624.5 million at month-end, slightly below CZK 7,445,234.9 million in February, with annual growth easing to 5.2% from 5.5%. Narrower aggregates were firmer, with M1 annual growth rising to 6.7% from 6.2% and M2 growth unchanged at 4.8%. Annual growth in credit to the private sector held at 8.9%. Within M3, M1 increased to CZK 5,887,279.4 million as overnight deposits rose to CZK 5,176,464.9 million and currency in circulation reached CZK 710,814.5 million. Other short-term deposits fell to CZK 1,245,789.2 million from CZK 1,324,308.5 million in February, while marketable instruments edged down to CZK 309,555.9 million. On the counterparts side, credit to residents increased to CZK 6,544,653.6 million, including CZK 4,743,540.1 million of credit to the private sector and CZK 1,801,113.5 million to general government. Loans to households stood at CZK 2,640,918.2 million and loans to non-financial corporations at CZK 1,553,895.6 million. Net foreign assets declined to CZK 2,660,405.7 million from CZK 2,769,904.4 million. The latest period data are preliminary.
