The Central Bank of Russia published the October issue of its Regional Economy report, finding that consumption continued to grow across Russia between August and September even as output and order dynamics pointed to slower economic growth in several regions. Most regions recorded increases in car sales, while Central Russia, the North-West and the Far East reported strong demand for catering services amid growing tourism. On the production side, Siberia saw a faster decline in furniture output linked to a cooler housing market, and there were fewer orders for machine-building products in the Volga Region and the Urals and for railway equipment in Central Russia. Far Eastern seaports continued to increase cargo traffic on larger exports to Asia, while chemical output rose in the Volga Region, largely due to higher external demand for fertilisers. The issue also covers monetary conditions and credit and deposit markets, regional budgets, and the 2025 harvest.
