The Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia published an update on a Joint ASEAN Working Committee on Capital Market Development (WC-CMD) and ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) meeting in Bohol, the Philippines, which it co-chaired with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), alongside the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Philippines representing the ACMF chair. The meeting focused on updating the joint WC-CMD and ACMF framework by taking stock of work linked to the ASEAN Economic Community Strategic Plan 2026-2030 and related capital market and sustainable finance initiatives. Participants reviewed updates on the ASEAN Sustainable and Green Taxonomies Project; progress across the Infrastructure Finance Working Group, Sustainable Finance Working Group and Industry Advisory Panel Working Group; the Disclosures Working Group; and the Asia GX Consortium. The agenda also covered the Joint Sustainable Finance Working Group work plan for 2026-2027, the ASEAN-Australia Sustainable Finance Dialogue and Asian Development Bank technical assistance, with attendance from WC-CMD and ACMF members from 11 countries, the ASEAN Secretariat, Japan’s Financial Services Authority, Sustainable Finance Institute Asia and GIZ.
