Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK) held an “OJK Mengajar” session at the University of Lampung focused on governance practices in the financial services sector, underscoring the need to strengthen governance and integrity to support industry development and maintain public trust. OJK Audit Board Chair Sophia Wattimena linked the authority’s policies to embedding prudential principles and good governance so financial institutions remain sound, protect public funds and sustain confidence, and stressed that effective implementation also requires a strong, integrated governance structure across the financial services ecosystem through the Three Lines Model. The session also emphasised the relevance of governance and integrity for younger generations, including avoiding and preventing corrupt behaviour, and drew around 400 hybrid participants from universities and high schools in Bandar Lampung. OJK framed the OJK Mengajar program as part of activities marking its 14th anniversary, delivered in multiple regions with participation from members of the Board of Commissioners to broaden public understanding of OJK’s role in safeguarding financial system stability and fostering a culture of governance, integrity and responsibility.
