The National Bank of Moldova has published details of its Global Money Week 2026 programme, running 16–22 March 2026, with activities aimed at helping children and young people build practical financial knowledge and make responsible financial decisions. Global Money Week is an international financial education initiative involving 176 countries. The agenda includes daily interactive workshops and training sessions led by central bank experts covering the role of the central bank, how monetary policy decisions are made, financial-sector digitalisation and basic rules for secure online payments. The programme opens with a public lesson by Governor Anca Dragu on financial responsibility and includes a dedicated session on “FinanciarELE”, the female leadership community launched by the National Bank of Moldova in March 2025. Guided visits to the bank’s exhibition hall will also cover the history of the Moldovan leu, a collection of gold and silver commemorative and jubilee coins, and leu security features. Participation is available via prior registration, with workshops open to young people aged over 16 and minors required to be accompanied by a responsible person. Requests for organised groups of at least 10 people are due by 11 March 2026, while smaller groups can access the event without pre-registration. Museum visits are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, starting on the hour from 10:00 to 15:00, subject to presenting an identity document.
