The Union of Arab Securities Authorities (UASA) published a study for its members on enhancing cooperation in financial technology and cyber risks, with the aim of identifying controls that help manage related risks across Arab financial markets. The study was prepared by a working group responsible for delivering the goals and initiatives under the second pillar of UASA’s 2021–2025 strategic plan, in cooperation with the Union’s General Secretariat. It draws on work by Arab and regional entities, including international regulators and specialist bodies in fintech and cyber risks, as well as legislation in force among UASA members and others, and highlights the use of global best practices, local legislation, cooperation agreements, and member-to-member exchange of expertise.
