China's National Financial Regulatory Administration has published a draft Measures on Petition Work for public consultation, setting out a framework for how it will receive, process and resolve petitions and complaints in line with the national Regulations on Petition Work. The draft contains six chapters and 53 articles covering overall principles, the internal petition-work system, submission and acceptance of matters, handling processes, and supervision and accountability. It calls for matters to be classified and handled in accordance with law, streamlines petitioning and case-handling procedures, and promotes mediation and settlement for appeal and request-for-decision matters. The administration will review feedback, revise the draft and issue it for implementation in due course.
