The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, in cooperation with the World Bank, organised a workshop on “Financial Education and Digital Communication” as part of follow-up work under the National Payments Council and discussions linked to membership in the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA). The workshop focused on capacity building and sharing experience on how financial education and effective digital communication can support consumer empowerment and financial stability. The central bank highlighted recent initiatives including educational programmes in schools and universities, public information campaigns, and the development of digital tools and visual content for public education. It also pointed to its financial products and services comparison platform, designed to help consumers compare interest rates and fees for key financial products, and noted that it became a member of the International Financial Consumer Protection Organisation (FinCoNet) during 2025. Participants included staff from the central bank, the financial sector, public institutions and international organisations, with contributions from a World Bank expert and the Bank of Italy’s financial education director on integrating digital communication into financial education strategies, reaching vulnerable groups, measuring campaign impact and strengthening institutional capacity.
