Belgium’s Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) issued a public warning about online fraudulent trading platforms and added a new set of websites and platform brands to its list, urging consumers to avoid offers that promise quick and easy earnings. The FSMA describes a typical pattern in which victims are approached via fake celebrity ads, recruitment websites, fake social media or dating profiles, “wrong number” messages, invitations to trading groups, or referrals from acquaintances. Victims are encouraged to register and make an initial deposit often around EUR 250, sometimes granting remote access to their devices, after which scammers show fictitious profits, apply pressure to invest more, and obstruct larger withdrawals using excuses such as fees or taxes. The FSMA also flags pyramid-style structures and warns that the platforms ultimately disappear with investors’ money. Newly cited websites allegedly directing consumers to fraudulent platforms include Blackrose Finbitnex, Dexlink, FlandrexBit, Fyronex Driftor GPT and Pagtrix AI, and the FSMA lists additional brands it says consumers should not engage with, including several “clone” entities. The authority notes the list is not exhaustive and is updated frequently, and advises consumers to verify authorisation status via its “Check your provider” page; suspected victims are told to stop payments, contact their bank, report the matter to the FSMA and police, preserve evidence, and beware follow-on “recovery room” scams.
