The Central Bank of Poland published monetary statistics showing the M3 money supply rose by PLN 42.7bn in March 2026 to PLN 2,804.4bn at end-month. The increase was mainly driven by higher household deposits and other claims, alongside a rise in cash in circulation. Within M3, household deposits and other claims increased by PLN 19.1bn (1.3%) to PLN 1,480.9bn, social security funds sector deposits by PLN 3.9bn (35.5%) to PLN 15.0bn, and local government institutions deposits by PLN 2.9bn (2.3%) to PLN 126.9bn. Money in circulation increased by PLN 8.4bn (1.8%) to PLN 468.0bn. On the counterparts side, net debt of central government entities rose by PLN 10.1bn (1.6%) to PLN 627.9bn, while debt increased for other financial institutions by PLN 8.0bn (3.7%) to PLN 220.7bn, households by PLN 6.5bn (0.8%) to PLN 843.1bn, and non-financial corporations by PLN 5.5bn (1.2%) to PLN 479.2bn.
