Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK) held a Governansi Insight Forum in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, focused on strengthening integrity and good governance in the financial services sector. The Chair of OJK’s Audit Board, Sophia Wattimena, positioned governance as a foundation for economic growth and urged stakeholders to support implementation of OJK’s anti-fraud framework to sustain public trust. More than 550 participants joined the hybrid forum, including financial services institutions, local government representatives, academics and other stakeholders from South Kalimantan and surrounding areas. The event highlighted Financial Services Authority Regulation No. 12 of 2024 on the Implementation of an Anti-Fraud Strategy as a mandatory guideline for all financial services institutions, aimed at proactively and sustainably strengthening resilience to fraud risk, and noted that OJK is also embedding governance expectations internally by using the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Integrity Assessment Survey as an organisational performance index.
