Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK) held a financial education programme for Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) personnel from Regional Military Command XII/Tanjungpura and members of the Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana association, as part of its efforts to raise financial literacy and inclusion. The hybrid session took place at Makodam XII/Tanjungpura in West Kalimantan, with 600 participants attending in person and 3,150 joining virtually. OJK’s Executive Head for Market Conduct Supervision, Education and Consumer Protection, Friderica Widyasari Dewi, emphasised that improved financial literacy should be paired with vigilance against risks in financial services, including digital fraud, misuse of personal data and illegal investments. Major General TNI Jamallulael welcomed the initiative and called on personnel to strengthen their understanding of basic personal financial management to avoid recurring financial problems.
