The National Bank of Moldova announced that a delegation led by Governor Anca Dragu is visiting France to strengthen bilateral relations and broaden cooperation linked to Moldova’s European integration agenda, including meetings with Banque de France and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Discussions with Banque de France covered cooperation on banking supervision, financial stability, financial education and digital transformation. French counterparts also welcomed Moldova’s acceptance into the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), with the next stage described as the country’s technical interconnection. Talks with the OECD addressed aligning Moldova with good practices in economic governance and public policy, as well as the macroeconomic framework, the National Bank’s monetary policy and the need to expand small and medium-sized enterprises’ access to finance; the National Bank’s “FinanciarELE” female leadership community project, launched during Global Money Week, was highlighted as a good-practice example. The visit takes place under a memorandum of cooperation between the National Bank of Moldova and Banque de France signed earlier this year, which предусматривает deeper experience sharing, staff training and technical support in key central banking areas.
