The Central Bank of Barbados reported that four of its officers were honoured at Barbados’ 2025 Independence and Republic Day Ceremonial Parade and National Awards Ceremony at Kensington Oval, including Governor Dr. Kevin Greenidge receiving the Order of Freedom of Barbados. Greenidge was recognised for “exceptional people-centred leadership in economic policy and central banking” and will hold the title “The Most Honourable”. Cheryl Greenidge (Senior Director, Bank Supervision), Jennifer Clarke-Murrell (Deputy Director, Bank Supervision) and Estherline O’Neal (Senior Examiner, Bank Supervision) each received the Gold Award of Achievement as part of 33 members of the Financial Action Task Force Core Implementation Team and the International Business Unit Economic Substance Team recognised for helping Barbados exit the Financial Action Task Force Grey List and the European Union Blacklist and for supporting compliance with international financial regulations.

Four officers from the Central Bank of Barbados were honoured at the 2025 Independence and Republic Day Ceremonial Parade.
