Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority (OJK), together with the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Cultural Affairs (Kemenko PMK), held a financial education event for women themed “Financial Planning for Women: Women Plan, Women Invest”, positioning financial education as a step toward improved “financial health” for households. The programme also highlighted the need for vigilance against scams, fraud, illegal online lending and fake investments, and encouraged participants to report suspected financial deception via OJK’s official channels. The hybrid event reached 480 participants, comprising 80 in-person attendees (female employees from Kemenko PMK and other public institutions) and 400 online participants from across segments. Materials covered an introduction to OJK, warnings on illegal investments, an overview of Indonesia’s capital market, gold savings products and services, and household financial management, with participation from representatives including the Indonesia Stock Exchange, the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants and PT Pegadaian.
