The Montenegro Capital Market Authority held a capital markets lecture for students of the “Mirko Vešović” Secondary School of Economics, marking the start of activities under its 2026 Action Plan for financial education and aligned with Montenegro’s 2023–2027 financial education programme. Commission president Željko Drinčić introduced the Authority’s role and key competences, with a focus on domestic capital market development, the prevalence of stock market investing and household investment habits. The session covered domestic and foreign exchanges, modern practices in trading shares and other financial instruments, the structure and functioning of the capital market, and the roles of the Central Clearing Depository Company, Montenegro Stock Exchange, investment funds, investment firms and other participants, alongside discussion of investment risks and the need for informed decision-making. The programme is expected to continue during the year with practical teaching, including a planned visit to TF CAPITAL AD and introductory CFD trading in a demo environment, alongside further youth-focused financial education initiatives.
