The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority announced two industry events aimed at strengthening engagement on financial crime, including a March forum focused on the updated National Risk Assessment (NRA) and an August Countering Financial Crime Conference. The NRA forum will be held at the Manx Museum on 18 March 2026, with two one-hour sessions (9:15am to 10:15am and 11:00am to 12pm) for Heads of Compliance or equivalent. The sessions will outline the NRA, how it underpins efforts to deter financial crime, and the expectation that Island firms reflect the findings in their own business risk assessments and controls; a presentation by Ashley Whyte, Head of the Authority’s AML/CFT Supervision Division, will be followed by Q&A, and a recording will be published online. A repeat Countering Financial Crime Conference is planned for 12 August 2026 at the Villa Marina, organised with other government agencies. The programme is expected to include local and visiting speakers covering best practice on disrupting money laundering, terrorist financing, proliferation financing and other financial crime, with further details and ticketing information to follow; the Authority also linked the engagement programme to the planned MONEYVAL mutual evaluation in Autumn.
