The Central Bank of Eswatini has notified stakeholders that it is relocating from Mbabane to Ezulwini by the end of 2025, with its new physical address set to MR103 Main Road, Ezulwini. The Bank also confirmed that the Governor, Executive members and some departments were moved to Ezulwini in June as part of the phased transition. The Bank has converted property acquired in 2023 into offices for staff being relocated. The move is linked to the construction of the Central Bank of Eswatini Complex in Ezulwini, with Phase 1 described as comprising an 18-storey headquarters, data centre, museum, innovation hub and parkade. Public-facing Banking Hall services will remain operational in Mbabane for exchanging old coins and banknotes, investing in Government bonds and treasury bills, and withdrawing funds; suppliers may continue delivering goods to the Mbabane Stores until September 2025, after which deliveries will be made at the Ezulwini Complex. Following completion of the relocation, the Mbabane buildings will be handed over to Government for occupation by the Judiciary and other Government ministries, and the Bank indicated it will continue providing updates on the relocation as necessary.
