Mexico's National Commission for the Protection and Defence of Users of Financial Services (CONDUSEF) issued a public warning against former CONDUSEF employees who offer paid “management”, advice or accompaniment services to file complaints, resolve disputes or follow up matters with financial institutions. CONDUSEF reiterated that all its procedures, advice and services are entirely free and that users do not need intermediaries to obtain support or pursue a case. The authority stressed that no former employee, external firm or private individual is authorised to intervene preferentially in its processes or to guarantee response times, favourable outcomes or privileged attention based on prior experience at the institution. CONDUSEF warned that relying on such offers can create confusion, false expectations and risks to users’ personal and financial information, and recommended using only official channels, not sharing documents or financial data with third parties, distrusting promises of immediate solutions or supposed internal contacts, verifying that guidance comes from authorised staff, and reporting any irregularities linked to purported intermediaries.
