Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) President Roberto E. Silva reviewed the regulator’s capital market deregulation and modernization agenda in a virtual address to the 15th Capital Markets Congress, organized by the Argentine Institute of Finance Executives in Córdoba. He reiterated the focus on removing barriers, simplifying processes and expanding financing options, alongside clear rules, effective supervision and investor protection. Silva discussed the scope of the regulatory “Big Bang” and updates to the capital market legal framework, including new financing and hedging instruments. He also addressed the regulation of Labor Assistance Funds (FAL), whose collective investment framework the CNV finalized in September. That framework allows employers to provide for employment obligations through supervised capital market vehicles. His remarks placed the funds within the broader modernization agenda rather than announcing new requirements.
