The Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA) issued an alert about renewed scam messages being sent in its name and in the name of its staff and management, urging recipients to be vigilant when reviewing emails. The FIN-FSA warned that scammers may alter email addresses to appear as if messages were sent from the authority, making them difficult to distinguish from genuine communications. It advised recipients not to reply to suspected scam messages, not to click any embedded links, and not to open attachments. The authority also recommended reporting suspected scams by contacting the FIN-FSA directly through a different channel, and not using any link or phone number included in the suspicious message.
