Ceres announced that 37 companies, investors and trade associations will participate in LEAD on a Clean Economy 2026 on Capitol Hill from March 17 to March 19, meeting with around 70 congressional and agency officials to press for bipartisan policies aimed at lowering energy costs and supporting US economic leadership. The advocacy agenda centres on three priorities: permitting reform, transmission planning and grid modernisation to accelerate affordable, reliable domestic clean energy; surface transportation reauthorisation to support electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, critical minerals and clean materials; and a farm bill focused on rural investment, including innovative agricultural solutions, technical assistance and enteric methane mitigation. Ceres said participants include companies such as DHL, IKEA US, Schneider Electric and Siemens, and that the group collectively generates nearly USD 600 billion in annual revenue and employs more than 600,000 Americans.
