The Central Bank of Montenegro reported that Governor Irena Radovic took part in a regional meeting of central bank governors in Osijek organised by the Croatian National Bank, where she discussed inflation dynamics and payment system modernisation. In a panel on “Inflation and Payment Technology in a Dynamic Environment”, Radovic said inflation in Montenegro is gradually slowing and that this trend is expected to continue during 2025, while flagging risks from geopolitical uncertainty, raw material price fluctuations, wage and pension growth, and labour market imbalances. She also pointed to the central bank’s focus on transparent public communication through regular publication of analyses, reports and research, and outlined payment modernisation work including SEPA integration to reduce transaction costs and improve transaction efficiency, alongside a TIPS clone project aimed at improving financial inclusion and enabling faster and safer payments.
