The India International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) hosted the second edition of its IFSCA Talent Summit at GIFT City in Gandhinagar, aimed at developing a future-ready talent pipeline for the GIFT International Financial Services Centre (GIFT IFSC). The event featured institutional announcements related to employment generation in GIFT IFSC and the launch of new courses and programmes by branch campuses of international universities. Framed around the theme “Shaping Global Talent for India and the World”, the summit focused on positioning GIFT IFSC as a source of global financial-services career opportunities and on deepening industry–academia collaboration through internships, placements and joint research. Sessions covered global career opportunities in GIFT IFSC, the Tri-City Knowledge Corridor (Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and GIFT City), and the role of foreign universities in delivering industry-relevant education. Speakers including Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister P. K. Mishra, and IFSCA Chairperson K. Rajaraman highlighted priorities spanning social infrastructure for GIFT City, the importance of human resource development alongside policy support, and the role of tax policies for GIFT IFSC referenced in India’s 2026 Budget. IFSCA and GIFT City Company said they have acted on recommendations from the first edition of the summit and plan to take forward ideas emerging from the 2026 event.
