The Central Bank of Eswatini has published entry details for the 2025 Global Money Week competition for high school students, framed as a “Future Finfluencer Challenge” that asks learners to create peer-facing content on smart money choices, avoiding scams and applying critical thinking to financial decisions. Students can submit either digital entries (a 60–90 second video in a “finfluencer” or social media style) or manual entries (a handwritten script to be reproduced into social media content). Entries must address one theme (“Think Before You Follow”, “Save Today, Smile Tomorrow”, “Spot the Scam” or “Wants vs Needs”) and will be judged on relevance (30%), creativity and engagement (30%), clarity and message impact (20%), and effort and execution (20%). The competition is open to high school students in Eswatini aged 13–19; prizes include participation certificates and cash awards of SZL 6,000 (first), SZL 4,000 (second) and SZL 2,000 (third), with winning material to be used by participating organisations with acknowledgement of the original author. Submissions close on 13 March 2025 and can be delivered by email or to designated drop-off points including selected public libraries and the Central Bank of Eswatini and Financial Services Regulatory Authority offices in Mbabane.
