The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) reported that the main session of its fourth Global Financial Leaders’ Investment Summit has concluded, bringing together around 300 global financial leaders, including more than 100 group chairmen or chief executives. Held under the theme “Trekking through Shifting Terrain”, the main session opened with a video keynote from Vice Premier of the State Council He Lifeng and moved into discussions on recent developments in the global economy and trade, financial markets, and technology and innovation. Participants spanned banks, securities firms, asset owners and managers, private equity and venture capital, hedge funds and insurers. The programme also featured keynote contributions from John Lee, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong SAR, and remarks from Paul Chan, Financial Secretary of the Government of the Hong Kong SAR, alongside welcome remarks from HKMA Chief Executive Eddie Yue. The three-day summit runs from 3 to 5 November, starting with a welcome dinner at the Hong Kong Palace Museum and concluding with the “Conversations with Global Investors” investment forum co-organised by the HKMA, the Securities and Futures Commission and the Hong Kong Academy of Finance.
