The Croatian National Bank has outlined a series of activities for Global Money Week from 16 to 22 March 2026 focused on financial literacy. The main event was the 10th Great Student Debate, organised with the Croatian Debate Society on 16 March, where more than 180 students and teachers from 21 schools in 16 Croatian cities and towns discussed the topic “Can AI manage personal finances?”. Governor Boris Vujčić and Vicegovernor Bojan Fras addressed participants, and financial literacy ambassador Toni Milun also joined the discussion. The wider programme included educational activities at Moneterra, the Croatian National Bank’s Money Museum, and lectures for students through the central bank’s Visitors’ Centre. Croatian National Bank experts also took part in the Financial Literacy Academy, a Croatian Banking Association conference on safe finances for older people, and a panel on AI, digitalisation and fraud at a conference on financial literacy and digital security. From 17 to 20 March, the central bank participated in the Financial Literacy Festival at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Zagreb and presented Moneterra’s programmes at the Financial Literacy Fair organised by the Ministry of Finance. A workshop for children, “Money through Stories”, is scheduled at Moneterra on 21 March, while the central bank said its financial education activities for schools and universities continue throughout the year.
