The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) announced that it is hosting 10 foreign insurance regulators in the Fall 2025 in-person session of its International Fellows Program, marking the programme’s 20th anniversary. The cohort will undertake NAIC-led training and work placements within US state insurance departments to deepen understanding of state-based insurance regulation and the NAIC’s role in supporting it. Fellows from Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, Georgia, Ghana, India, Panama, Saudi Arabia and Thailand will be hosted by insurance departments in Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Louisiana, Nebraska, Ohio and Pennsylvania. The programme runs from 6 October to 18 November and includes training at the NAIC Central Office in Kansas City, followed by a five-week placement at a state insurance department across areas including financial regulation, market conduct and licensing, and concludes at the NAIC Capital Markets & Investment Analysis Office in New York City focused on investment risks and market trends.
