The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority has issued a reminder that regulated and registered businesses must submit their 2025 anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) Annual Statistical Return via STRIX by Friday 3 April 2026, noting that a number of returns remain outstanding. Firms completing the online questionnaire are directed to updated guidance explaining the questions and how to capture the required information. The Authority flagged recurring issues in submissions so far, including incorrect permissions, inconsistencies in total customer and new customer figures across sections, and incomplete reporting in the section on reliance on third parties for customer due diligence, which must also capture new customers where customer due diligence was collected directly or a concession was used. It also reminded firms that staff and full-time equivalent figures must be greater than zero, sole traders should include themselves, and staff numbers for 1931 Act companies must be at least two, and encouraged firms to use comments fields to add context. Separate instructions were provided for registering additional STRIX users, requiring completion of the relevant form for regulated firms or for designated non-financial businesses and professions, with fully completed details.
