Egypt's Financial Regulatory Authority has given insurance-sector companies, entities and professionals an additional year to comply with the Unified Insurance Law, extending the deadline to July 11, 2027. This is the final extension available under the law, which permits the authority to allow adjustment periods of up to three years from its entry into force on July 11, 2024. The extension reflects the time needed for affected entities to meet the new legislative and regulatory requirements. It does not alter separate compliance deadlines established by the authority’s regulatory decisions for specific insurance activities.
