Croatia's Ministry of Finance published an update on Finance Minister Marko Primorac’s participation in the Eurogroup meeting in Copenhagen, where ministers reviewed the Eurogroup work programme through June 2026 and, in inclusive format, reached a political agreement on the process for introducing a digital euro, including setting the permitted amount that can be held as digital euro. The work programme was framed as flexible to allow rapid responses to heightened geopolitical risks and new challenges, with a focus on completing the Capital Markets Union and the Banking Union and advancing the introduction of the digital euro. Ministers also discussed priorities around strengthening the resilience and competitiveness of the Economic and Monetary Union and adapting to climate and technological change and geopolitical risks, and exchanged views with Aurora Lalucq, Chair of the European Parliament’s Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs, on economic developments in Europe and globally.
