The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta announced that President and Chief Executive Officer Raphael W. Bostic intends to retire when his current term ends on 28 February 2026. The Atlanta Fed’s board of directors will form a search committee of non-banking directors to conduct a nationwide search for his successor, consistent with Federal Reserve policies and the Federal Reserve Act. Bostic has served as the Atlanta Fed’s president since 5 June 2017 and, in that role, oversees the Bank’s activities across monetary policy, bank supervision, and payment services while serving on the Federal Open Market Committee. If a successor is not appointed by 28 February 2026, First Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Cheryl Venable will assume the duties of president on an interim basis in accordance with Section 4 of the Federal Reserve Act, with additional details of the search to follow.
