The Jordan Securities Commission hosted a delegation from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Public Security Directorate as part of a training programme for the third course on investigating financial and banking crimes, focused on forgery and fraud, to strengthen communication, cooperation and coordination on cases involving financial crimes and fraud. The course content covered crimes against money, criminal fraud methods, the concept and elements of forgery and how it differs from counterfeiting, financial and banking crimes linked to payment cards, financial investigation, stages of money laundering, and issues related to digital currencies and electronic wallets. The delegation was also briefed on the Commission’s objectives and supervisory remit, including issuance, disclosure, licensing, inspection and financial market supervision, as well as responsibilities spanning corporate governance, Islamic sukuk, foreign exchange dealing, and combating money laundering and terrorist financing, alongside its work to align the national capital market with international standards and strengthen transparency and disclosure.
