The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic announced that the Dominican Republic will host the 305th meeting of the Central American Monetary Council (CMCA) in Punta Cana on 20–21 November. The meeting will be chaired by Central Bank Governor Héctor Valdez Albizu alongside Álvaro González Ricci, President of the Bank of Guatemala and CMCA vice president. Governors and presidents of the central banks of Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua are expected to attend, together with the general manager of Panama’s Banco Nacional and CMCA executive secretary Odalis Marte Alevante. The agenda includes country presentations on current macroeconomic conditions and short-term growth prospects, as well as technical discussions on the international economic environment, geopolitical tensions, climate change and global financial conditions, with a focus on measures to preserve price stability and support regional economic growth. External participation includes International Monetary Fund officials Andre Roncaglia, Xiana Méndez Bertola and Ricardo Llaudes, and Bank for International Settlements Americas Office head Alexandre Tombini, alongside presentations from the Inter-American Development Bank, CAPTAC-DR and the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean.
