The Angola Capital Markets Commission held a lecture at the Technical University of Angola (UTANGA) on 6 October as part of World Investor Week 2025, focusing on how financial education can help prevent scams and fraud. The session aimed to raise awareness and build capabilities, particularly within the academic community, on financial literacy as a tool for protecting personal assets and making more informed and secure financial decisions amid increasingly sophisticated fraudulent schemes. It was moderated by Salomão Abílio (Capital Markets Commission) and included contributions from the National Bank of Angola, the Angolan Insurance Regulation and Supervision Agency, and the Capital Markets Commission. World Investor Week 2025 runs from 6 to 12 October and is being used as a platform to disseminate knowledge to investors, entrepreneurs, students and the wider public on financial security and fraud-risk prevention.
